Outline Designs

Services

Outline Designs are the initial stage of design work after a Feasibility Study. Usually you will have decided to proceed on the basis of the Study, will have set a budget and agreed the general contents of the design.

At the Outline Design stage the design will be developed into a firm proposal suitable for submission for Planning Approval, and general compliance with Building Regulations will be checked.

When the outline Design is complete you will be asked to approve the design; subsequent changes in your requirements for the project may result in additional professional fees, and once Planning Approval is granted, changes may also require a re-submission of the proposals for approval to the changes.

in the case of smaller projects, and especially for alterations to existing buildings it is often sensible to combine Outline and Detailed Design stages.
